Tidbit
I love this one.
Interpretation is the revenge of the intellectual upon art. - Susan Sontag
ok, I know I'm off topic, but I had to include my favorite of all time. Gravitas used to use this as his "sig" and I even stole it as my own from time to time.
"I'd rather die peacefully in my sleep like my granddaddy, not screaming like the passengers in his car."
Is Photography Art? A great soccer manager, who, when asked whether football was a matter of life and death replied. "Nothing as trivial as that!"
This blog is intended to showcase the landscape photography of photographers who have moved beyond the pretty picture and for whom photography is more than entertainment.
>>>>As The Landscapist blog gains density and depth, I think you will find much interesting stuff buried in the Archives. IMO, it will be worth your time to explore a bit.
>>>>Email submission of photographs for publication are encouraged Not all photographs will be published. First consideration will be given to those photographs which, whatever their visual merits, instigate thought and discussion about the medium of photography. Photo files should be around 200k @ 72dpi with a maximum dimension of 900 pixels. Please include personal info and some words about any ideas regarding the medium that your photograph(s) addresses.
Comments, commentary and lively discussions are vigorously encouraged.
